Samsung a950 (Verizon Wireless)

Samsung a950, now available to Verizon Wireless customers.

Samsung a950 (verizon wireless) Samsung today announced the re-release of the Samsung a950, which now feature Verizon Wireless’ V CAST Music, allowing consumers to download full songs over the air onto their phones. The Samsung a950’s fully-integrated music capabilities enable consumers to download their favorite music and digital audio content, while the Samsung a950’s intuitive design and external music controls give users complete control of their mobile entertainment experience.

The Samsung a950’s V CAST Music capabilities allow consumers to have their favorite tunes with them whether they’re at work, at play or on the go. The number of songs is limited only by the size of the TransFlashTM memory card (purchased separately) that slides into the Samsung a950’s memory slot.

V CAST Music customers can press the play key on the front of the Samsung a950 to activate the music player and use the sleek jog wheel to scroll through their play list, while the hard keys on the Samsung a950’s exterior allow consumers to stop, start and skip around to find a tune to fit their mood.

With its stereo sound and music playback capabilities, combined with the exciting content available through Verizon Wireless’ V CAST Music service, the Samsung a950 puts the power of mobile entertainment where it belongs – in consumers’ hands,

said Peter Skarzynski, senior vice president, Samsung.

The V CAST Music-enabled Samsung a950 will be available January 16, 2006, in Verizon Wireless stores across the country and at Circuit City for $99.99 after a $50 mail in rebate with a two-year customer agreement. Customers with existing Samsung a950 handsets can bring their phones into a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to get a software upgrade on their Samsung a950 to enable V CAST Music.
