Pantech PT-S130 Bluetooth DMB phone released today.

Pantech today announced that it has launched the Pantech PT-S130, the world’s first Bluetooth enabled digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) mobile phone.

Unlike other DMB phones, the Pantech PT-S130 is designed with a diverse range of unique characteristics that are aimed at satisfying the audio and visual demands of users.

Another significant design feature is that – with Bluetooth technology – users do not have to take the Pantech PT-S130 out of their pocket to make a phone call or listen to music. All of the Bluetooth enabled functions work within ten meters of the phone. To facilitate easy use, thePantech PT-S130 has a pendant-type wireless ear phone, the first of its kind in the world.

The Pantech PT-S130 multi-tasking function allows users to enjoy different services on the phone at the same time. For example, they can watch movies, while making or receiving calls or sending short text messages.

The Pantech PT-S130 features a bright, rotating 2.4-inch LCD screen, which is designed to allow users a wider viewing angle, so they can enjoy movies or television programs using the phone from an enhanced perspective. The phone also has two embedded 3D stereo speakers, which support different modes of sound quality. With the MP3 equalizer, the sound modes can be tailored to specific musical tastes.

Pantech, which aims to become the world’s top 5 mobile phone manufacturer by launching leading edge convergence phones such as smart phones and telematics phones, plans to unveil no fewer than three DMB handsets, including thePantech PT-S130, this year.
