Pantech PH-L4000V Camcorder Phone Launched.
Pantech has just announced the launch of the long awaited Pantech PH-L4000V, better known as the award winning Camcorder Phone.
The Pantech PH-L4000V is the first handset to be designed just like a camcorder, featuring a 2.14 megapixel, swivel-style, display, 2X optical zoom lens, MP3 player, TV output and FM tuner. The Pantech PH-L4000V differs from competitors, in that it can be held like a real camcorder with index finger and middle finger controlling zooming buttons on the top of the phone.

Last year, the Pantech PH-L4000V Camcorder Phone was recognized with two awards at the prestigious iF (International Forum) Design Awards in France. Earlier this year, in Germany, Pantech went a step further, securing three awards at the noted Red Dot Communications Design Awards for excellence in product design and competitiveness, in honor of the PH-L400V.
The swiveling folder, as well as being able to rotate freely, displays a panoramic view on LCD. The battery charger can be attached to a tripod to capture a long- standing shot and add particular flavor for amateur movie makers. The movie clips are supported with high resolution of QVGA (640×480) and with a speed of 15 frames per second.
Using external memory, the two hour shooting time can extend up to five hours. For photographers, the Pantech PH-L4000V provides the highest resolution of 1632 x 1224. With internal flash, auto focus, and multi-frame photo shots, users can enjoy shooting the perfect shots. The Pantech PH-L4000V camcorder phone comes with TV Out function. Once taken, both movie clips and photo shots can directly be transmitted to TV for a bigger view in large screens.
Another unique feature of Pantech PH-L4000V is MP3-FM transmitter function. By keying in a FM frequency of choice in the handset, users can play the handset stored MP3 music through the FM station set in a car, for example. This exclusive functionality means users can share their favorite music simultaneously with friends without multiple earphones at hands.
In fact, the Pantech PH-L4000V can internally store about 32 MP3 files with an average file size of 4MB and play directly on the handset. Its dual speakers provide stereo sound quality and the model’s multi-tasking capability means users can send out messages while listening to music.
Another unique feature of the Pantech PH-L4000V is the navigation service provided by the installed software. With origin and destination plugged in, the Camcorder Phone gives the user not only the shortest and fastest route to destination, but also the names of travel stations, an estimated time to destination and exit information at your destination. Electronic dictionary, mobile banking and mobile commerce functions are also included.
