Motorola E816 Hollywood available to Amp’d customers.

Amp’d Mobile and Motorola today announced the Motorola E816 Hollywood, a stylish mid-tier high-speed EV-DO clamshell for use on Amp’d Mobile’s broadband wireless service at the 2006 CES.

Motorola E816 Hollywood features Amp’d Mobile’s user interface, built on BREW 3.1, for easy downloading. Key entertainment features of the Motorola E816 Hollywood include an MP3 player with access to favorite tunes; a 1.3 mega-pixel camera with 4x digital zoom; MPEG-4 video and playback; and a 262,000-colour display.

The Motorola E816 Hollywood features dedicated Push-to-Talk and the ability to “side load” media between the phone and computers via a USB port. Motorola E816 Hollywood will ship with a 128MB expandable Transflash memory card with up to 1 GB expandable memory available as an upgrade.

Motorola E816 Hollywood’s sleek clamshell design is for the Amp’d members who want the best entertainment features at a good price.

Motorola E816 Hollywood measures 49×94x25mm, weighs 130g and has a talk time of up to approximately 240 minutes of digital talk time; 280 hours of digital standby time.

Motorola E816 Hollywood will be available in first quarter of 2006.
