LG CE500 Phone Reviews
’CNET’ review the LG CE500, here’s what they say about the phones music player: Alas, the LG CE500 fails as a music player. It supposedly plays MP3s and AAC files off the included 64MB TransFlash card. We got it to work with MP3s of various bit rates, but it wouldn’t play any of our AAC files, whether they were encoded with iTunes or Nero.
To load music onto the phone, you either pop your TransFlash card into your PC or use the included USB cable and the worst software ever. The LG CE500 phone doesn’t have mass storage drivers, so it only communicates with LG Music Manager. The product’s English is extremely poorly translated from Korean, with poor punctuation and awkward phrasing is the order of the day. The USB 1.1 connection ran at about 67 Kbps; transferring each song took about a minute. The LG CE500 will not connect to Macs at all, and you can’t use the MP3s on the memory card as ringtones.
