Kyocera KX440 push-to-talk phone with CDMA technology now available to VIVO Direto customers.
Kyocera, today announced it will launch a wireless handset with push-to-talk (PTT) functionality providing instantaneous communication between handsets, on VIVO’s “VIVO Direto” service. VIVO, the largest operator in the mobile industry in the South Hemisphere, launch this service to meet the needs for efficient communication of enterprises as well as small- and medium-sized businesses.

Based on Kyocera’s popular Phantom™ phone design, the Kyocera KX440 features a sporty, ruggedized design for consumers that is perfect for those with a dynamic lifestyle. Extremely easy to use with its rubber side grips, its push-to-talk functionality is enabled by simply pressing a dedicated button on the side of the Kyocera KX440 handset. Additionally, the Kyocera KX440 phone comes with a standard 10mm battery for longer talk time and heavy PTT use. Other features include a color display with on-screen icons showing who in the group is available to talk as well as a rubber keypad and volume control buttons also located on the side of the Kyocera KX440 phone. The Kyocera KX440 also comes with a 200-person contact directory, up to 25 polyphonic ringtones, vibrate alert, voice-activated dialing, Internet access, games and predictive text input.*
