KODAK EASYSHARE C663 Digital Camera

KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera revealed at the CES.

Building upon its popular consumer digital photography system, Eastman Kodak Company today introduced the KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera. This model, with 6.1 megapixel resolution, a huge 2.5-inch LCD screen and a Schenider-Kreuznach Varigon 3X optical zoom lens, is the first camera to incorporate proprietary KODAK Perfect Touch Technology.

The KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera fits the needs of a broad range of people looking for a compact digital camera that delivers exceptional image quality, plus Kodak’s hallmark simplicity of operation.

said Mary Hadley, general manager of digital cameras for Kodak’s Consumer Digital Imaging Group.

The KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera camera (US$299.95 MSRP; available March 2006) uses the exclusive KODAK Colour Science image-processing chip for phenomenal image quality with rich colour and accurate skin tones. Seventeen programmed scene modes and five colour modes help capture the best shot with the least effort.

On-camera picture-enhancing features include cropping, auto picture rotation, digital red-eye reduction, and blurry picture alert. The KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera also integrates Kodak’s Share button with its ‘favorites’ feature for storing multiple pictures in an on-camera digital photo album. Each picture can then be shared anytime on the KODAK Easyshare C663 digital camera’s high-resolution 2.5-inch indoor/outdoor LCD display. For capturing more than just still pictures, the camera also features high-quality (VGA) video capture, playback and video action print options.

KODAK EASYSHARE C663 Reviews

‘Digitalcamerainfo’ sum up the Kodak EasyShare C663 in this review: The Kodak EasyShare C663 is part of Kodak’s point-and-shoot series, and, in combination with the EasyShare printer, provides a quick and easy way to take pictures and make prints if you want to give copies of photos to people at a party, for instance. However, there are cheaper point-and-shoot cameras available, and the Kodak EasyShare C663 lacks image stabilization and a number of features, like customisable white balance and manual focus, which may be a problem for more advanced users. Still, the C-series by its very nature is geared towards less-advanced photographers. For a better price with features geared more towards a novice, look elsewhere in the C-series; for more options, look towards Kodak’s Z-series—assuming you have your heart set on Kodak. There are plenty of other manufacturers out there, and the trend this year is simpler cameras at a lower price, so options will be plentiful.
